Dr. Nilesh Diwakar is a distinguished academician, accomplished researcher, and visionary institutional leader with more than two decades of teaching excellence and substantial industry experience in the domain of Mechanical Engineering. He presently serves as the Director, RKDF Institute of Science and Technology, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan University, Bhopal (M.P.), where he provides strategic leadership in academic planning, research advancement, laboratory modernization, quality enhancement, and institutional governance. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (2011) from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, specializing in wind energy optimization in hilly terrains, a research area central to sustainable power generation. He holds an M.Tech in Industrial Design (2005) from MANIT Bhopal with a focus on the energy estimation of horizontal axis wind turbine rotors, and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (1999) from BIT Durg. Renowned for his contributions to renewable energy systems, Dr. Diwakar possesses deep expertise in wind flow modelling, solar photovoltaic and thermal technologies,
biomass and biogas systems, and advanced energy simulation. His innovative work has resulted in the filing of two patents, including Tribrid Vehicle Technology and an Improved Gas Absorbing Apparatus. Throughout his academic career, he has held pivotal leadership roles Director, Dean Academic, Principal, Professor & Head where he has driven curriculum innovation, accreditation readiness (NAAC/NBA), faculty development initiatives, and outcome-based educational reforms. He has successfully supervised 06 Ph.D. scholars and 09 M.Tech dissertations, fostering high-quality research across renewable energy, CFD analysis, thermal engineering, and welding technology. A prolific academician, Dr. Diwakar has authored 38 research publications in reputed national and international journals. His research portfolio encompasses wind flow modelling, hybrid renewable systems, cooling tower performance enhancement, underground heat exchangers, TQM-based institutional benchmarking, and advanced thermo-mechanical system analysis. With an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and sustainable technological advancement, Dr. Nilesh Diwakar continues to contribute significantly to research innovation, engineering education, and the development of future-ready renewable energy solutions.
