About the Author

Prof. (Dr.) Umesh Gupta is a senior academician and administrator with over 25 + years of distinguished experience in teaching, research, and institutional leadership. He currently serves as Professor and Dean at MATS University, Raipur, where he has made significant contributions to academic planning, examination reforms, quality assurance, and research governance. He holds a Ph.D. in Commerce, with specialization in agricultural marketing and regional economic studies. Dr. Gupta has served as Chairman of the Vice-Chancellor Search Committee appointed by the Hon’ble Governor of Chhattisgarh, underscoring his leadership and academic integrity. He has held several key governance roles, including IQAC, Board of Management, and Research Committees. His scholarly output includes over 90 + research publications in Scopus, UGC-CARE, and peer-reviewed journals, along with 14 academic books. He holds so many patents and he has successfully supervised Ph.D. and M.Phil. scholars. His research interests span finance, digital banking, consumer behavior, rural development, microfinance, and CSR, contributing substantially to interdisciplinary management research.
